Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using Arbi for your Riftbound rulings.

What exactly is Arbi?

Arbi is an AI-powered rules judge for Riftbound TCG. Think of it as having a knowledgeable judge in your pocket 24/7. You ask questions about card interactions, timing, keywords, or any rules situation — and Arbi gives you a clear, sourced answer in seconds. No more pausing games to search through forums or wait for Discord replies.

How does Arbi know the rules?

Arbi has been trained on the complete Riftbound rulebook, the official FAQ, all published errata, and detailed information on every single card in the game (500+ and counting). It doesn’t just pattern-match keywords — it actually understands game mechanics, timing windows, priority, and how cards interact with each other.

How accurate are Arbi’s rulings?

Arbi is highly accurate for the vast majority of rules questions. That said, let’s be honest: it’s an AI, not an official Riot judge. For casual play and practice, Arbi is incredibly reliable. For high-stakes tournament situations, we always recommend confirming critical rulings with a certified judge. We’re constantly improving accuracy based on user feedback and official clarifications.

What kinds of questions can I ask?

Pretty much anything rules-related! Common questions include:

• “Can I use [Card A] in response to [Card B]?”
• “What happens when [Card X] and [Card Y] are both on the field?”
• “When does [Keyword] trigger?”
• “Can my opponent do [action] during my turn?”
• General mechanics questions about timing, priority, and the stack
• Clarifications on specific card text or abilities

What can’t Arbi help with?

Arbi is focused purely on rules and card interactions. It won’t help with deck building advice, meta analysis, strategy tips, or “what card should I craft next?” questions. It also can’t make judgment calls on unclear game states where you’d need a human judge to assess what actually happened at the table.

Is Arbi free to use?

Yes! Arbi is completely free. We’ll be running some ads to keep the lights on, but the core experience — asking rules questions and getting instant answers — won’t cost you anything. Ever.

Do you store my questions or personal data?

We keep things minimal. Your questions may be logged anonymously to help improve Arbi’s accuracy, but we don’t collect personal information, require accounts, or track you across the web. Just ask your question and get your answer — that’s it.

Can I use Arbi during a tournament?

That depends entirely on the tournament’s rules. Arbi is a great tool for preparing for tournaments and resolving practice game disputes. During official competitive play, always follow the event’s policies on electronic devices and judge calls. When in doubt, ask the head judge — that’s literally their job!

Is Arbi a mobile app?

Yes! Arbi is being built as a mobile app from the ground up. We wanted it right there in your pocket during games — no browser tabs, no fiddling around. The app is coming soon, so sign up on our homepage to get notified when it launches!

How quickly does Arbi respond?

Usually under 5 seconds. Complex interactions with multiple cards might take a moment longer, but we’ve optimized for speed because we know you’re probably mid-game wondering if your opponent just made an illegal play.

What happens when new cards are released?

We update Arbi’s knowledge base with new cards, mechanics, and any rules changes as soon as they’re officially released. Our goal is to have new content added within 24-48 hours of release, so you can get rulings on the latest cards right away.

I think Arbi gave me a wrong answer. What do I do?

Please report it! We take accuracy seriously. Use the feedback button on any ruling, or reach out to us directly. Include the question you asked and why you believe the answer was incorrect (bonus points if you have an official source). This helps us improve for everyone.

Who’s behind Arbi?

Arbi was built by Riftbound players who got tired of pausing games to look up rulings. We’re a small independent team — not affiliated with Riot Games — just folks who love the game and wanted to make the play experience smoother for everyone.

When is Arbi launching?

We’re currently in beta and working toward a full public launch soon. Sign up on our homepage to get notified when we go live — early supporters might get some perks!
